Clean Conditions
The service time needed to clean depends greatly on the condition of your home when we arrive for the initial Deep Clean.
1: Spotless Typically only applicable to vacation rentals or secod homes. Minimal use. Very tidy; no pets or kids; nothing needs deep cleaning or scrubbing.
2: Professionally Maintained Already receiving professional cleaning at least twice monthly. Home is low use. Baseboards, cabinets, floors need very light cleaning or just spot cleaning.
3: Maintained Being fully scrubbed down at least monthly by professional cleaning service or home owner. Very mild build up; moderately used home. Mild soap scum, light grime, pet hair, fingerprints, and/or dust.
4: Kept Up But Lived In High use and surface cleaned, yet has places that need additional cleaning. Areas of build up that require scrubbing. This condition is about 60% of homes we do.
5: A Well Used Home Hasn’t been professionally cleaned within the last year. Substantial build up in multiple areas that will require heavy cleaning to bring to Condition 2. Substantial dirt/dust/grime on floors/baseboards/walls/etc.
6: Needs Special Love Home/office hasn’t had a thorough cleaning in a year or longer, if ever. May require a second visit to catch everything up to a Condition 2 level.
Did you know that many cleaning companies are not really loyal - or local?
Many cleaning companies use virtual assistants to outsource some of their administrative costs to low-cost workers in other countries (that they can pay $4hr) and also do not pay their cleaners their full wage (nor give legally-required rest and meal breaks and sick pay).
Green Cleaning Seattle – Otium Maid Services operates according to State and Federal law regarding wages, rest and meal breaks, sick pay. All of our staff are local and all are paid above Seattle minimum wage.
Our owner is also on the Board of Directors for the Domestic Workers Ordinance Board through the Seattle Department of Labor.
